Paragon MLS Enhancements Release December 7, 2022 Highlights 

Paragon Connect – Contact List Updates

The contact list was updated to include three shortcut actions that help you quickly get access your client’s information.  These three actions include the ability to view all phone numbers, email addresses, and a link to the client’s Collaboration Center site

Paragon Connect – Co-Listing Agent

While viewing a list of your published or unpublished listings, you will now see the Co-Agent added to any listing that contains a secondary agent on the listing

Paragon Connect – Tour

The ability to add, edit, and delete tours has been added to the 5.92 release.  This will sync with your Paragon Pro system and will alow you to see any tours created in either system.

Paragon Connect – Associated Documents Listing Input Maintenance

You now have access in Paragon Connect to upload or manage documents for your listings. The Associated Documents feature can be accessed by navigating to the listing edit screen in the Listing Input Maintenance module. Paragon Connect Associated Documents follow the exact same logic as Paragon Pro for document size, number of documents, document type, etc.

The Associated Documents can be accessed by navigating to the edit listing screen in the Listing Input Maintenance module, clicking on the overflow menu, and clicking on the Documents link.

MLS Rules Changes Effective December 1, 2022

1) Rule 11.5 Photographs on the MLS: Removed the language dictating that the front exterior be the primary photo. 

2) 12.5.1 Public Remarks Restrictions and Requirements: 

a. Added language allowing seller’s concessions in the Public Remarks. 

b. Added language to clarify financing terms are prohibited in the public remarks. 

c. Replaced Vacancy with Occupancy.

3) 13.2.2 Lockbox Requirements. Updating approved lockbox requirements to align with the NAR policy.

Replacing ShowingTime Appointment Scheduling with Homesnap Showings on November 8, 2022

Bay East continually reviews all products and services offered to our members to provide the most value. As part of this review, the ShowingTime Appointment product will be replaced by Homesnap Showings.

You will be able to access the showing module via the Homesnap app and Paragon MLS system. With Homesnap Showings, you can easily customize your listing to meet client needs. Listing agents will enjoy that Showings is fast, easy to use, and provides them the ability to manage approvals from anywhere. Buyer’s agents will be able to utilize instant bookings and seamless client communication.

Do my previous appointments transfer from ShowingTime to Homesnap Showings?
No, they will not. For your Active listings, go to Listings / Maintain Listings, select “Yes” in the Homesnap Showings field on the very top of the page to indicate you would like Homesnap Showings activated for that particular listing.


Do I have to Opt-in or Opt-out of the Homesnap Showings?
You will opt-in on each listing that you would like to activate Homesnap Showings.


Am I opt-in automatically for all my listings?
No, you will opt-in on each listing that you would like to activate Homesnap Showings.


How do I add Homesnap Showings to my listings?
For your Active listings, go to Listings / Maintain Listing, select “Yes” in the Homesnap Showings field on the very top of the page to indicate you would like Homesnap Showings activated for that listing.


Where does the Homesnap Showings icon appear on my listing?
The icon will be on the Agent Two-page report.


How do I access my dashboard for Homesnap Showings?
Under Preferences, you will see links to My Calendar, My Itineraries, My Listings.
Within Listing Maintenance:

-Select an Action / Manage Showings
-Within listing input screen, left pane navigation, Homesnap Showings From the Listing Congrats modal window, Manage in Homesnap Showings Within Paragon Connect, Scheduling a Showing from the search result

What should I do to make sure my scheduling link information shows on the data share MLS?

Within your Showings dashboard, you can copy and paste the showing link into the Showing Schedule Link field in your active listing. This field shows up on all the MLSs that datashare with Paragon.


Is there a phone number that I can call if I need real-time support or have questions while using Homesnap Showings?
Homesnap has a team of specialists ready to offer live support! Agents can call 1-800-431-5509 and select (1) for Showings support. Homesnap’s Support team is available Monday to Friday from 8am to 8pm EST, Saturday from 9am to 6pm EST, and Sunday from 10am to 6pm EST.

Paragon MLS Enhancements Release September 28, 2022 Highlights 

  • Statistical Reporting – Add Median to various Statistical Reports

Median calculations have been added to the Market Statistics report, Ranking reports, and Month End report, bringing added value to these statistical reports. 

  • Saved Property Searches – Change default sort to Search Name

Based on feedback from users, the default sort order for the Saved Property Searches grid will be by the Search Name. The grid can still be re-sorted by clicking the other column headers.

  • Connect View in Paragon Professional 

The Connect View already exists today in your Paragon Professional system. However, in 5.91 the report has been completely upgraded. While the functionality and data will remain the same, there are key upgrades that you will enjoy. 

  • Client Email Notification

To be compliant with CAN-SPAM and CSL regulations, the agent’s address has been added to the signature block at the bottom of the Client email notifications and Welcome emails. The address displayed is based on the agent’s Preferred Mailing Address, as specified in the Paragon member record. Preferred Mailing Address options are Agent, Office, No Mail. 

  • Paragon Connect / Listing Maintenance: The listing maintenance module that was just added in 5.90 includes the ability to view, filter, and manage your published listings. In 5.91, we have continued to add functionality to this module. Now you can use a search feature to locate any of your listings. This helps users with quickly being able to find a specific listing. You can search using the listing’s address, listing number, city, or zip code.

We are constantly looking at improving the functionality and user experience of the Paragon MLS Platform. Expanding the MLS with more data via data-share with our neighboring MLSs gives us opportunities to re-evaluate our MLS system and fields to better our member experience. The following changes are being implemented to avoid search result discrepancies and enrich the data.  

Tour Groups Field within Search:  This field will be removed when you are searching for listings on tour. Please use City, Zip, or other available fields to search for listings on tour. 

Area Field within Search:  This field will be removed when you are conducting a listing/property search in Paragon. You may use City, Zip, or Map to conduct your search. Subscribers who wish to still search with the Area field may customize their search to add it specifically for themselves. 

Public Remarks Character limit increased: The current limit is 1000 characters entry; we are increasing it to 1300.

Crypto Currency Addition: The TERMS feature category on Paragon MLS will now include crypto currency. Listing agents will now be able to accommodate buyers who prefer the crypto currency option. 

IDX Listing Broker Attribution Update.  

Currently, our Internet Data Exchange (IDX) and Virtual Office Website (VOW) rules require displaying the Listing Agent and Listing brokerage name attribution.   Effective September 1 the National Association of REALTORS (NAR) has amended the policy to give Brokers selection to add a phone number or email address.

In compliance with the NAR mandate, a new option has been added under the Preferences tab for “IDX/VOW Contact Info” in Paragon MLS. This addition will allow brokers to select a phone number or email address to be displayed in listings that go out in IDX and VOW data feeds.  The default is set to “No Value Selected,” which is equivalent to not having selected an option. Per the NAR mandate, the Listing Participant must select the value; Bay East cannot pre-select for the Broker/MLS. Click here for step-by-step instructions. 

  • NAR mandate – Broker Attribution

In compliance with the NAR mandate for Broker Attribution, a new node has been added to the Preferences/System tree for “IDX/VOW Contact Info” in Paragon Professional.

  • Statistical Reporting – Add Zero Volume filter to Year-to-Year Report

The Year-to-Year report now respects the Include with Zero Volume filter. When selected, the report includes all results. When unselected, the report will exclude sections where all columns are zeroes.

  • Collaboration Center

Previously, CollabLink and Collab Center displayed a SHOW COMMUNITY REPORT. Consumers would have to click the button to view the report. The button has been removed and the report will automatically display when the user clicks the COMMUNITY REPORTS tab OR scrolls to the bottom of the detail view.

  • Paragon Connect: Hotsheet Duration

In addition to Date Range; Days Back and Last Run options have been added.

  • Paragon Connect: Hotsheet Alerts

Hotsheet Alerts is a brand-new feature only found in Paragon Connect. It allows you to get notified when new matches are found based since the last time your hotsheet search was ran. You can enable alerts for up to five hotsheets.

  • Paragon Connect: Open House

This release allows the agent to easily create and manage open houses from the Listing Input Module (LIM) on any device.

  • Paragon Connect: Listing Maintenance Module

This release includes the beginning work for a new Listing Maintenance module within Paragon Connect. This new feature will provide a place to access all the published and unpublished (partial) listings you have permission to maintain. It will also provide a way to start a new listing. Autofill feature will be in future release.

Starting August 2, 2022, if you select either “No” or “Community” in the Pool field when inputting your listing onto Paragon MLS, the feature category  Z-POOL is no longer required. This helps inputting listings regarding swimming pool easier.

Remine will not be a Bay East member benefit product effective August 29

Bay East continuously reviews all products and services offered to our subscribers to ensure we provide the most value and offer the best return on the investment of our subscribers. As part of this review and a very low adoption rate, Remine will no longer be provided as a member benefit product.

Most of the same functionalities are provided through other products we offer, such as Paragon MLS, Homesnap, and CRS Tax. 

Using the “Tour Group” field when creating a tour report may miss listings from other MLSs.  

If you use the “Tour Group” field to run your tour report, you may miss listings on tour from the data share MLSs.  The “Tour Group” field within Paragon is tied to the “Area” field; however, the data share MLSs (MetroList, SFAR, BAREIS, and MLSListings ) tours are not.   Bay East is working with its MLS vendor on alternatives to incorporate data share listings into the Tour Group field. In the meantime, please use the “CITY” field when searching for listings on tour.  

Here’s an example for creating a tour list for Fremont, Union City, and Newark:

  1. Type in the Date Range
  2. Tour/Open House Status: choose Tour
  3. City: select FREMONT, UNION CITY, NEWARK
