NAR President Kevin Sears shares an update on the association’s settlement agreement to resolve home seller litigation and highlights NAR’s ongoing work to advocate for members and consumers.
The National Association of REALTORS® announced a settlement in the Sitzer-Burnett lawsuit and “copycat” cases which are related to how REALTORS® work with their clients and how they are compensated.
The bottom line: Changes to the MLS Commission Rules are coming this summer that will impact how every REALTOR® works with buyers and sellers.
Once more information is available, Bay East will hold Town Hall meetings with legal and industry experts to help make sense of what this means to you. Effective June 25, the Alameda County Public Health Department is lifting its mask mandate. More information here.
The fire burning on the Pleasanton Ridge is not posing a threat to the Bay East Member Service Center in Pleasanton. The Center will be open on Friday, June 24.
Effective June 3, masks must be worn in most public indoor settings in Alameda County including real estate open houses. The requirement does not apply to the City of Berkeley. More information here.
