Committees make recommendations regarding policies or budget requests. The Committee Chair oversees and coordinates all Committee activities within the scope of the Association’s mission, goals, strategic priorities, action plans, Bylaws, and Corporate Policy and Procedures. Committees are composed of REALTOR® and Platinum Affiliate Members except where otherwise provided.
A Committee is permanent and meets regularly.
The Executive Committee assists the Board of Directors in completing its tasks efficiently and expeditiously. This committee reviews issues facing the association and makes preliminary decisions to be ratified at the Board of Directors meeting. Members include the Association President, President-Elect, Treasurer, Past President, CEO, and three Presidential appointees who represent each district.

MMG reviews, recommends, and implements MLS tools to support Members’ success. It comprises three voting representatives and one alternate, appointed by the President and approved by the Board, with the President and President-Elect serving as non-voting guests. This is a joint group between Bay East, BridgeMLS, and Contra Costa Association of REALTORS®.

The Nominating Committee reviews, interviews and develops a slate of qualified candidates to serve as Officers or Directors of Bay East.

The primary responsibilities of the Professional Standards Committee include recommending and implementing programs that enhance the professionalism of REALTORS® in accordance with the NAR Code of Ethics, MLS Rules and C.A.R.’s Professional Standards Reference Manual. In addition, committee members are available to assist you in resolving disputes that occur from real estate business.
