The California Association of REALTORS® (C.A.R.) is promoting a new tax portability initiative and needs REALTORS® to help get it on the ballot.
The Protection and Fairness in Property Tax Act of 2020 will allow seniors and natural disaster victims to transfer their current property tax base assessment to another home anywhere in the state and generate new revenue for schools, cities and counties.
On Thursday, January 9, C.A.R. is hosting a luncheon at the Bay East offices in Pleasanton about the initiative. Training and materials will be available for REALTORS® to gather signatures to help qualify the initiative for the November 2020 ballot.
To register for the luncheon, email Sean Bellach, C.A.R. Government Affairs Field Representative at firstname.lastname@example.org. The event is open to REALTOR® members only.
