REALTOR® • Rookie • Affiliate • Good Neighbor of the Year
Each year, the Association honors outstanding members through its most prestigious awards. These recognitions celebrate individuals who demonstrate professionalism, leadership, and meaningful contributions to both the real estate industry and the community.
What to Expect:
- Members may be nominated through our online forms.
- Nominees are required to complete a questionnaire outlining their professional, educational, and community involvement, provide references for such activities, and participate in an interview with the Selection Task Force.
- Winners are announced at the annual Inaugural Gala and featured in local media, Bay East publications, social media, and our website.
2026 Nominations will begin in September
REALTOR® of the Year
Eligibility Requirements:
- Bay East REALTOR® member in good standing.
- Served on a Bay East committee, work group, or task force (with required attendance) during nomination year.
- Demonstrated active production in real estate during the nomination year.
- Contributed at least $148 to the REALTOR® Action Fund within the past 3 years (including current year).
- Not eligible: current Bay East President, Teams, or if selected as last year’s winner; previous winners eligible again after 5 years
Ideal Candidate Demonstrates:
- Strong ethical standards and REALTOR® spirit.
- Active community involvement and civic engagement.
- Full time Agent/Broker who has proven business success and client service.
- Leadership and participation at local, state, or national association levels.
Affiliate of the Year
Eligibility Requirements:
- Bay East Platinum Affiliate member in good standing.
- Served on a Bay East committee, work group, or task force (with required attendance) during nomination year.
- Not eligible: last year’s winner; previous winners eligible again after 5 years.
Ideal Candidate Demonstrates:
- High professional standards and collaboration with members.
- Community and civic involvement.
- Leadership and participation in association activities.
Rookie of the Year
Eligibility Requirements:
- Bay East REALTOR® member in good standing.
- Joined Bay East within the past 24 months.
- Served on a Bay East committee, work group, or task force (with required attendance) during nomination year.
- Not eligible: previous year’s winner and can only win once.
Ideal Candidate Demonstrates:
- Strong ethical standards and REALTOR® spirit
- Early career success and professionalism.
- Community and civic involvement.
- Active participation in Bay East activities or events.
Good Neighbor of the Year
Eligibility Requirements:
- Bay East REALTOR® member in good standing.
- Not eligible: last year’s winner; previous winners eligible again after 5 years.
About the Award:
Good Neighbor of the Year may be given to a REALTOR® member who has made exceptional contributions to improve the quality of life in their local community. This award brings to the forefront the positive difference REALTORS® make in giving back to their communities. The Good Neighbor of the Year receives a $1,000 donation to the charitable organization they work with. To receive the donation, the organization must be classified as a 501(c)3 and align with Bay East Core Values and Culture.
Important Notes
- Nominees may qualify for multiple awards but will only be considered for one.
- REALTOR® and Rookie nominees may also qualify for Good Neighbor (and vice versa).
