Break-ins at Staged Houses Increasing
There have been several reported break-ins in the past week in staged vacant houses in the Oakland and Contra Costa County areas such as Piedmont, Montclair, Moraga, Martinez & Orinda, although other break-ins have occurred throughout with REO's. Lockboxes were removed, possibly with bolt cutters, and keys removed, allowing thieves to gain entry to steal contents of the houses. Please remember lockboxes are not considered security devices and should be placed in areas out of sight from the sidewalk or street.
