Task Force

Task Forces are created to support the Association’s mission, goals, and strategic priorities as part of a new micro-volunteerism initiative introduced in the reimagined volunteer structure.

These groups focus on a narrow scope with specific objectives or tasks to accomplish. Participation is flexible, with meetings held as needed. Formal agendas or minutes are not required, and a designated lead may oversee the work.

Task Force List

Achievement Club

Purpose: Oversee the REALTOR® Achievement Club criteria and program designed to recognize Bay East REALTORS®, who have closed/Leased a certain dollar amount or transaction sides for the year.

Objectives:

  • Recommend updates to award criteria and levels.

Meetings: 1-2 times in the 3rd quarter.

Alameda County Disclosures and Disclaimers Advisory​

Purpose: Maintain compliance with local disclosures and disclaimers.

Objectives:

  • Annually review and recommend updates to disclosures.

Meetings: 1–2 times annually.

Awards

Purpose: Recognize exceptional contributions within the REALTOR® community.

Objectives:

  • Select recipients for REALTOR®, Rookie, Affiliate, and Good Neighbor awards.
  • Review award criteria.

Meetings: 1–2 times in the 3rd and 4th quarters.

C.A.R./NAR Selection

Purpose: Review and recommend candidates for C.A.R. and NAR Directors.

Objectives:

  • Recommend members for positions in state and national REALTOR® associations.
  • Review and evaluate qualifications.

Meetings: 3–4 times in the 2nd and 3rd quarters.

Community Engagement

Purpose: Strengthen ties with the community to promote homeownership.

Objectives:

  • Organize and lead homeownership events.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and allied organizations, including elected officials.
  • Seek opportunities to align with Bay East priorities.

Meetings: To be determined (TBD).

DEI Training for Leadership

Purpose: Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion among leadership.

Objectives:

  • Conduct training sessions on DEI principles twice a year.

Meetings: January/February and June/July

Fair Housing​

Purpose: Champion equitable access to housing opportunities for all.

Objectives:

  • Identify resources that support cultural competency in Fair Housing.
  • Promote and conduct Fair Housing campaigns and events.

Meetings: To be determined (TBD).

Governing Docs

Purpose: Align bylaws and policies with the association’s mission and compliance mandates.

Objectives:

  • Review and propose amendments to governing documents.

Meetings: 1–3 times annually.

Inaugural

Purpose: Plan the installation of officers and directors.

Objectives:

  • Plan and promote the annual installation events.

Meetings: Monthly between the 2nd and 4th quarters.

Inclusive Client Resources and Accessibility

Purpose: Equip REALTORS® with tools to serve a diverse clientele effectively.

Objectives:

  • Develop a comprehensive toolkit for serving clients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Provide guidelines on cultural, linguistic, and ability-based inclusivity.

Meetings: Ongoing (aligned with the strategic plan).

Investment Advisory

Purpose: Maximize financial returns and minimize risks for the Bay East investments.

Objectives:

  • Oversee and recommend updates to investment policies.

Meetings: Quarterly.

Member Inclusion and Belonging

Purpose: Foster inclusivity among REALTORS® across all backgrounds.

Objectives:

  • Create initiatives that enhance belonging within the association.

Meetings: To be determined (TBD).

Member Volunteer Opportunities

Purpose: Foster inclusivity among REALTORS® across all backgrounds.

Objectives:

  • Create initiatives that enhance belonging within the association.

Meetings: To be determined (TBD).

MLS Rules and Regulations​

Purpose: Review and recommend changes to the MLS Rules and Regulations Appendix A – Citable Infractions.

Objectives:

  • Review and recommend updates to MLS citation schedules and rules.

Meetings: 1–2 times in the 4th quarter.

Paragon MLS System

Purpose: Enhance user experience and data accuracy in transactions

Objectives:

  • Prioritize data security and transparency.
  • Implement measures for MLS accuracy improvement

Meetings: Quarterly.

Products/Services

Purpose: Innovate and optimize MLS offerings.

Objectives:

  • Evaluate new technologies and existing services.
  • Implement advanced analytics.

Meetings: Quarterly.

Property Management

Purpose: Provide guidance on office property issues.

Objectives:

  • Address building maintenance and risk management.

Meetings: 1 time annually.

REALTOR® Voice

Purpose: Amplify the professional image and expertise of REALTORS® by leveraging market intelligence, social influence, and storytelling.

Objectives:

  • Develop compelling public-facing content around market trends, advocacy, and professionalism.
  • Ensure accuracy and relevance in market intelligence activities.
  • Identify influential voices in the real estate social media landscape.

Meetings: To be determined (TBD).

Strategic Thinking

Purpose: Set the short term and long term goals for Bay East.

Objectives:

  • Advise the board on strategic priorities.

Meetings:

  • 2nd and 3rd quarters.

Committees

A Committee is permanent and meets regularly. Committees make recommendations regarding policies or budget requests to advance the Association’s mission
