Meet The Award Winners

Each year, the Association recognizes members with our most prestigious awards: REALTOR® of the Year, Rookie of the Year, Affiliate of the Year, and Good Neighbor. In addition, the Association awards the "John Deadrich Distinguished Service Award" and the "Outstanding Leader Award" to deserving recipients. All the award winners have contributed hundreds of hours to causes that benefit the association members and have also dedicated time to many community programs.

In addition, the Alameda Chapter of Bay East presents the Outstanding Chapter Service Awards to chapter members who have significantly contributed their time & effort to the Alameda Chapter.

2017 REALTOR® of the Year


Anne McKereghan

The REALTOR® of the Year Award is given to a REALTOR® who is involved in everything. It recognizes a Bay East member who exemplifies the standards we aspire to as REALTORS®

Anne McKereghan, received the REALTOR® of the Year award for demonstrating the highest level of integrity and commitment to Bay East and the real estate profession. McKereghan became a REALTOR® in 2003, and immediately started her professional and community involvement. She served on the Alameda Association of REALTORS® Board of Directors and as President of the Board in 2014. She received the Alameda Association of Realtors REALTOR® of the Year in 2015. Following the merger with Bay East, she was elected to serve on the Bay East Board of Directors. McKereghan is actively involved in advocating for homeownership and private property rights. As a community leader, she served on the Alameda Education Foundation and was appointed as a Trustee for the Alameda Unified School Board in 2017. She is also involved with the Boys and Girls Club.

The Rookie of the Year is given to a newly licensed, full-time REALTOR® who became a Bay East member within the previous 24 months.

Sofyan Karim with ReMax Active Realty in Fremont received the Rookie of the Year Award. Karim attending Bay East events and committee meetings soon after entering the profession. He joined the Bay East Young Professional Network and Local Government Relations committees and participated Kids Against Hunger “pack outs” at their location in Pleasanton and at the Alameda County Food Bank.

Jennifer Bourque

The Affiliate of the Year is awarded to an affiliate member that has gone above and beyond as a Bay East Affiliate

Jennifer Bourque with Guild Mortgage received the Bay East 2017 Affiliate of the Year Award. Bay East Affiliate members contribute time, money and resources to support the real estate profession. Bourque was involved in several fund-raising with the Real Estate Alliance of Livermore. As chair of the Bay East Foundation Fundraising Committee, she organized the Cheers to The Future event which raised more than $19,000 for Bay East Foundation scholarship fund.

This award brings to the forefront the positive difference REALTORS® make in giving back to their communities.

Rachna Rajan of Berkshire Hathaway Drysdale Properties in Castro Valley received the 2017 Good Neighbor Award. Working with the Alameda County Food Bank, Rajan distributes food bags to families in the neighborhood she “farms” and encourages her fellow agents do the same in their respective farms. During the past 13 years, she has collected more than 9,500 pounds of food for the Food Bank.

2017 John Deadrich Distinguished Service Award


Mike Fracisco

The Distinguished Service Award is given to a Bay East member who has contributed his or her skills to promoting our goals throughout the year.

Mike Fracisco received the John A. Deadrich Distinguished Service Award. Named in honor of the association’s first president and founding father, this award is given to a Bay East member who exemplifies the self-sacrifice, vision and accomplishments of the greatest leaders who have shaped the real estate profession. Fracisco’s involvement and support for the profession started after joining Bay East in 2003. He was recognized as the 2004 Rookie of the Year for his contributions to the Livermore and Valley marketing groups and the Housing for All Committee helping raise funds for the Livermore Habitat for Humanity project. He was elected to the Bay East Board of Directors in 2007 and served as Bay East President in 2015. In 2017 he chaired the Property Management Advisory and Leadership Evaluating and Selection Committees in addition to serving on the Investment Advisory Committee. He served in leadership positions with the California Association of REALTORS®.

Our Outstanding Leader Award is given to a Past President of the Association who continues to pursue the vision of excellence in the name of our organization.

Jennifer Branchini received the Outstanding Leader Award. The award is given to a past president of the association who continues to pursue the vision of excellence in the name of Bay East. During a 20-year career as a REALTOR®, Branchini has served Bay East members by creating an optimal experience. Her leadership experience began as a volunteer on the Bay East Member Benefits Committee. She was instrumental in starting the Bay East Young Professional Network (YPN) and continued that innovation at the state level, serving as chair of the California Association of REALTORS® (C.A.R.) YPN forum. He she served on the Board of Directors and as the Bay East President in 2014. She received the Bay East REALTOR® of the Year award in 2010. Branchini has stayed involved by serving on the Bay East Leadership Evaluation and Investment Advisory Committees, and chaired the Leadership Development committee in 2016 and 2017. She is the vice-chair of the C.A.R. Legislative committee and serves on several other committees. Branchini serves on the Board of Directors of the National Association of REALTORS®.

Barbara Price

The Alameda Chapter Outstanding Service Award goes to Alameda Chapter members who have contributed to their chapter, their profession and to their community.

Barbara Price has devoted significant time and effort to further the REALTOR® message and community values in her role as Chair of the LGR Committee. She coordinated Alameda Chapter activities with elected officials and their support staff for the benefit and education of our members and their clients; on behalf of the Chapter and the community at large.

The Alameda Chapter Outstanding Service Award goes to Alameda Chapter members who have contributed to their chapter, their profession and to their community.

Patrick Ignacio is the Vice Chair of AIMM. He is always front-and-center at the AIMM marketing meetings and actively working to more effectively promote our business. He brings a high level of enthusiasm to our marketing, education and especially the community support projects. This year, he organized the Equipped 4 Success backpack project to benefit school age children in Alameda, the Veteran’s holiday card program and Midway Shelter donation drive.
